I have one name for you! Jimmy Smits!! Some of you know him as Victor Sifuentes others will know him as Det. Booby Simone. Most reading this if there is anyone out there will know him as Senator Bail Organa but I first discovered his exceptional talent as Congressman Mattew Santos!
For the slow among us I just mentioned characters from LA Law, NYPD Blues, Star Wars and of course The West Wing! All of which outstanding drama's with the exception of Star Wars. I am just trying to get across how awesome I think this guy is!
Anyway I better give some review of the show rather than truly gushing over Jimmy!
Outlaw the new little law series that could! Smits plays Supreme Justice Cyrus Garza the most conservative Justice on the bench. After the unexpected death of his father a moral dilema with a captial punishment case takes hold and he resigns the bench.
So now we have a heavy weight Justice picking his own cases with a young elite team backing him up. Fast and in some parts very funny. There is of course more going on in the back ground than we are so far allowed to know. I really do hope this goes on for a while I personally really like the banter between the PI and the junior legal aide. The PI by the by is played by the very sexy Carly Pope. One of the many teenage fantasy women from my younger days! She has not done very much since "Popular" but it has been worth the wait!

Lost Girl
We have all been Vampired or Werewolfed to death for so long now, the thought of another supernatural drama sent shivers down my spine. Lost Girl tells the story of a drifter a lone girl with a deadly secret. I know what you are thinking……FANGS! But let me introduce you to Bo a slinky and very sexy succubus who has the ability to seduce with a single touch and kill with a kiss.
After leaving a victim in plain sight Bo brings herself to the attention of the Fae, creatures of legend and folklore living undetected in the human world. When she is discovered she is forced to choose between either the Light or Dark Fae clans.
In all good drama, the protagonist never sheepishly follows orders and Lost Girl is no different. Choosing to go rogue instead and refusing to belong any world other than human Bo sets off to find her place with her only friend, Kenzi the thief gone good.
Nikita
A brand new Spy drama from CW sees Maggie Q as the gorgeous assassin Nikita out for revenge. Although when I say brand new I mean brand new for the fourth time.
From the first attempt in 1990 with the French film “La Femme Nikita” to the American re-make starring Bridget Fonda in 1993. Coming in third is an earlier TV attempt that started in 1997 and then soon ended to the most recent chance to follow everyone’s favourite sexy assassin as she tries to bring down the agency that turned her into a killer.
In saying this with such scepticism I have to hold my hands up and say how good this incarnation is.
This time the title character is taken on by Maggie Q, star of Die Hard 4 and protégé of Jackie Chan. She is exceptionally sexy in a swim suit and is completely electric in the physical aspect of the role. You can believe it when she kicks seven shades of whatever out of the bad guys.
The lines between good and bad get blurred in this very fast paced drama you never really know who to trust there are no reservations on who to kill off but I am hoping the critics give this one a few episodes before it goes AWOL.
Terriers
So Terriers has very little to do with dogs, though there is a dog among the cast of characters. So don’t let the title fool you. This is a show about a former cop and a former thief who are now teamed up to make their livings as unlicensed private detectives.
Hank Dolworth (Donal Logue) is the cop end of this unlikely team. After losing his job and his marriage due to a drinking problem, he is trying to live the simple life, running jobs as a detective to get by. Britt Pollack (Michel Raymond-James) is a former thief who’s moved up in the world with his detective “career” and his girlfriend Katie.

The pilot episode follows Hank and Britt as they attempt to track down the daughter of a friend of Hank’s and inadvertently uncover a business conspiracy. These guys don’t have business cards and their office is a pick-up truck, so they find work where they can.
I suppose this falls under the drama heading but there are some honest laugh out loud moments. Unfortunately for this I do not think there will be a strong enough audience draw for it to make it into season two.
Hellcats
The new CW drama kicked off last week in the states. This show comes to us riding on the back of the “Bring It On” cheerleading movie franchise. You guessed it a lot of beautiful people competing, for the state championships!
Aly Michalka plays Marti, a poor college student from the wrong side of the tracks whose only hope for financial aid is a cheerleading scholarship. No, seriously, that's the actual premise of the show. Against her principles, she joins the Hellcats, an elite cheerleading squad led by Savannah (High School Musical's Ashley Tisdale).
In true American teen dramedy style Marti & Savannah clash heads from the beginning! Luckily though with Marti’s former gymnast champion abilities (good thing to with no former cheerleading experience how else would she have gotten on the team?) Savannah can see the diamond in the rough!
